Why We Built This Site
Maryland's warrant records are not gathered into one resident-facing statewide search. The public Judiciary Case Search & Record Portal can help identify a case and its court, but it does not certify whether a warrant is active. A 2018 local police directive documents an agency-only Maryland State Warrant System query for District Court warrants on the day issued; it does not establish public access or complete statewide coverage. The court that issued a warrant keeps the case file and controls court action. A sheriff or another assigned law-enforcement agency may hold service information. Maryland has no separate municipal or justice-of-the-peace criminal court tier: many traffic and misdemeanor matters sit in the District Court, while felony cases generally use the Circuit Court. The directory connects readers to the correct county or Baltimore City route. A missing online result can reflect search limits, restricted records, or an index that does not answer current warrant status.

What We Cannot Do
This is a private reference site, separate from Maryland's courts, sheriff's offices, Maryland State Police, and other state agencies. It cannot perform the official actions listed here:
- It cannot provide an official status confirmation for a Maryland warrant
- It cannot accept payment, post bond, or arrange a surrender or court date
- It cannot change a case, recall or quash court process, or update law-enforcement systems
- It cannot advise how a particular charge, court order, or warrant applies
- It cannot promise that every linked office detail or public record is current
- It cannot replace the issuing court, its clerk, an assigned sheriff, or an attorney
For a Maryland case, confirm current status with the issuing District or Circuit Court and ask which agency has the service record. The county directory provides local routes; an online docket or a partial sheriff list is not final confirmation.
Search Partners
Search boxes on some pages are operated by outside providers, which set their own terms, prices, and data practices. If a visitor signs up for a paid service through one of those tools, this site may receive a referral fee. Such a provider's results are not an official Maryland court or warrant-status response, and this site does not control what the provider returns.
